If you haven’t done a food tour in Alicante yet, you’re definitely missing a tasty way to see the city. The old town’s winding streets hide small bodegas and tapas bars where you can try everything from creamy turrón to freshly caught local seafood. Pro tip: try the Cabeza de lomo, a local cured pork specialty, with a glass of local red. You won’t find that offered on every tour, but some guides make sure you hit the family-run charcuterías where it’s their signature.

If you visit in spring or fall, the tours often include a stop at a local vermutería where homemade vermouth is paired with small bites like olives and anchovies , a ritual here that I think you’ll love. Don’t expect big groups or rushed schedules; these tours feel more like hanging out with a friend who happens to know the best places in Alicante.
