Stroll Alicante’s historic center, including Town Hall Square, the Cathedral area, Barrio de Santa Cruz, pedestrian streets, and artisan shops, while learning about local traditions and Mediterranean lifestyle.
On your way to the Central Market area, discover Alicante's emblematic products such as Marcona almonds, artisan cheeses, extra virgin olive oil, traditional turrón nougat, and seasonal specialties.
At the Central Market, one of the largest fresh produce markets in the Mediterranean, explore the region’s culinary richness. Learn about traditional Roman-era salazones (salted fish) that have shaped coastal gastronomy.
Observe and, when available (Monday to Saturday), taste local products including olives, Marcona almonds, traditional cocas, Alicante-style savory pastries, and fresh Mediterranean seafood like the red shrimp (gamba roja) delivered daily from nearby fishing ports.
After the market visit, walk about 8 minutes to a historic wine shop, a traditional Spanish bodega in the city center known for regional wines and gourmet local products.
