Starting from the Alicante city center, meet your guide and drive about 30 minutes to the Canelobre Caves. Explore these Jurassic high-domed caves, filled with local stories and legends.
Next, take a 10-minute drive to Busot, your guide’s hometown. Stop or drive through the town to admire 11th-century Muslim castle remains and learn about the Moors and Christians heritage. Visit the City Hall square, view one of the oldest 15th-century churches, and stroll the village streets.
Optionally, visit the Museum Collection of Ethnic Musical Instruments donated by musicologist Carlos Blanco Fadol, a friend of the guide.
Pause for a break with a local pastry from a nearby bakery if desired.
Continue to the coast in El Campello to see ancient Iberian, Carthaginian, and Roman fisheries, including the Queen’s Baths (Baños de la Reina), known for its Mediterranean legends. Here you can enjoy shopping, walking, or tapas in the fishing village.
If arriving by 6:00 PM, witness a public heritage fishing auction organized by the town hall.
The tour concludes with a scenic 7 km coastal drive back to Alicante, ending at your preferred city center location or near Postiguet Beach. Alternate pick-up points are available upon request.
