Melia Villaitana Hotel
Alicante
This is a paradise for golfers with two courses. Autumn and spring are popular times to play as the weather is not too hot.If you have a special celebration, take a look at the Melia ballroom as it is beautifully designed.
The Melia Villaitana Hotel is in a Mediterranean village, just outside Benidorm, and is set between two golf courses, designed by Jack Nicklaus, in a picturesque setting in the Alicante region.
The village is made up of 25 buildings, sympathetically designed to recreate a typical Spanish village with historic buildings and picturesque plazas.
One is a replica of the blue-domed cathedral in Altea, which is an iconic Costa Blanca building. Inside the Melia Villaitana replica building is an exquisite room for parties or weddings with great views.
The designers toured the Alicante region to look for its iconic and most picturesque buildings. These have been recreated at the Melia Villaitana using local craftsmen and local materials, such as hand-crafted tiles.
There are two 18-hole golf courses, each with a unique Nicklaus Design, in a natural setting with views over the bay and a green pine forest, providing a perfect environment for golfers as well as a challenging round.
