Located 3 blocks from a Mediterranean beach, the Hotel Guardamar is one of the most classy and convenient hotels in Guardamar del Segura. This hotel has excellent facilities, especially the outdoor pool, the terrace with sea views, and the garden. Its newly renovated restaurant specializes in Mediterranean dishes such as fresh bass, prawns Guardamar, and Langostinos de Guardamar. The hotel is also equipped with a lift, and a garage. Pets are not accepted. Guardamar del Segura (often shortened to just Guardamar) is best known for its gorgeous 11 km/6.8 mile stretch of white sand beach along the Mediterranean. In the late 19th century, the town was in danger of being buried by the advancing sand dunes, so local leaders planted rows of pine trees, which solved the problem over time. Today you can see the juxtaposition of forest and sand particularly well at the South Dunes of Guardamar Park (Parque Sur Dunas de Guardamar), which is directly adjacent to the Guardamar Hotel. Other local attractions include the archaeological museum in the Casa de Cultura cultural centre and landscaped Reina Sofia Park. The hotel is approx. a 20 minute drive from the La Marquesa Golf & Country Club and a 30 minute drive from the La Finca golf course.
