Enjoy a bird's eye view of the Costa Blanca
With Spain being home to many breathtakingly-beautiful mountain ranges and valleys, it makes sense to explore some of them during your holiday.
Flying over the Costa Blanca to Alicante airport, many passengers are still surprised to see how mountainous the region really is. Now they can enjoy a closer look by booking a guided walk or tandem paragliding with Outbound Adventures.
Taking a walk through nature in Alicante
You will be taken on a journey to see prehistoric cave paintings, an ancient mule pass and the ruins of a 16th century fort during your guided walks in the Alicante region. The views are spectacular, so don't forget your camera.
The four main walking routes in the Alicante region are:
Sierra Gelada mountain which includes Benidorm Cross, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Benidorm skyline
Sierra Bernia mountain with mountain springs, ancient fort and breathtaking views
Guadalest Reservoir, which is one of the most photographed images of inland Alicante because of the glorious colours of the reservoir
Sella Mule Pass to the beautiful inland town of Sella
During the walk, you will find out more about the history and wildlife in the area.
The excursion is about five to six hours in total including the walk of around three hours. Excursions can be arranged for any day of the week. Free transport is provided to pick you up and drop you back off again at your destination.

The 19th century British traveller Richard Ford jokingly said that Spain is just one big mountain. With an average altitude of 660 metres and only 57,615km2 of the 505,988km2 of Spain below 200m, it's easy to see why he came to this conclusion.
So what could be finer than a once-in-a-lifetime experience of paragliding over the beautiful Alicante interior?
These exclusive tandem paragliding flights with Outbound Adventures take place over the iconic Guadalest as well as other parts of the Costa Blanca such as Sella, Benidorm, Altea or Calpe.
As part of your paragliding experience with Outbound Adventures, you can soar gracefully over the Guadalest reservoir and past the ancient castle. You could give a wave to your family and friends watching your flight from Guadalest castle.
Outbound Adventures is offering you a chance to head away from the Costa Blanca beaches to get to know the picture-postcard perfect interior with its magnificent mountain ranges and idyllic little towns.
