For 30 years the Elche Independent International Film Festival has been showcasing movies with an average of 673 short films from around the world every year over the past 10 years.
In its commitment to technological innovcation, the festival has adapted to the changing face of movie making from 35mm through to movies captured on mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and drones.
Throughout its history the festival has sought to honour emerging talents such as Álex De la Iglesia, Alejandro Amenábar and Juanma Bajo Ulloa who started their careers at the FICIE.
