PERFECT WEDDING We recently celebrated our wedding at Hotel Meridional in Guardamar, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Planning a wedding from the UK could have been stressful, but thanks to the incredible organisation and attention to detail, everything was completely stress-free. A special thank you to Carolina and Carmen, two wonderful ladies who looked after every aspect of our wedding. They were professional, caring, and always available to help, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. We never had to worry about anything because they had everything under control. The rooms were comfortable and welcoming, the decorations were beautiful, and the music and food were absolutely fantastic. Our 50 guests were truly stunned by the quality of the event and how smoothly everything was organised. The Sky Bar was simply mind-blowing and provided a spectacular setting for our celebration. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome. The location is also perfect, adding to the overall experience. We cannot thank the team enough for giving us such a memorable wedding day. We would highly recommend Hotel Meridional to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with exceptional service.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Meridional. The location is perfect — just cross the street and you are directly on the beautiful sandy beach. The rooms were cleaned daily by very friendly staff, and everything was always spotless. The breakfast was very good, with a wide selection, and the staff constantly made sure everything was refilled and well organized. The coffee from the machines was actually delicious, although the machines themselves were quite slow, so a bit of patience is needed. Check-in at the reception was relaxed, smooth, and hassle-free. The parking facilities were also excellent and reasonably priced, with EV charging available, which was a big plus for us. Overall, almost everything was excellent. The only downside was the poor sound insulation between the rooms and doors. You can hear your neighbors very clearly, and unfortunately, we had neighbors who were not very considerate and even banged on the wall because they could hear my standard iPhone alarm. Of course, this says more about the neighbors than the hotel itself, but it is true that the rooms are quite noisy, which affects privacy and slightly takes away from an otherwise great hotel experience. That said, the hotel reception informed us that the sound insulation on the 4th floor has already been improved, and they plan to upgrade the sound quality and insulation on the remaining floors very soon, which is great to hear.

Well done to the owners and a huge thank you to the team for a great stay at the Hotel Meridional . Firstly Perfect location looking over the beach and amazing views of santa pola and torrevieja . If guadamar suits your location needs i would strongly recommend using the hotel . The hotel is calm and welcoming right from the first moment . Raquel on reception was incredible and so helpful . She even took the time to help me find somewhere so I could watch the boxing on tv when I'm sure she had many other duties to do . Reception is clean and tidy and sets a good example to the start of the stay . The rooms we had were lovely . I just can't say a bad word about them . The beds were big and comfortable with lovely soft fluffy linen . The balcony facing the sea was perfect , and good size for two people to sit and enjoy the view with a glass of wine . We ate quite a few days in the restaurant and it was good everyday . Breakfast there was a huge choice available from cereals , yoghurt , fresh fruit , and cold meats as well . There was also plenty of bacon and eggs as well for those that can manage it . Coffee was nice and a good assortment of tea . The restaurant is also looking out over the sea so it's perfect . I guess my only thing I would say to the owners is a few more seats with higher backs on for people while they eat is more comfortable but a silly thing really . I would recommend the fillet steak if your a carnivore like me . Very tender and juicy with lovely fresh asparagus . A big thank you to all the staff in there that served us those days but a big mention to Ramon who was great . Very friendly guy and nice to talk to .

​⭐⭐ Incredible View, but Service and Communication are Lacking ​Stayed in Room 308 (April 11–13). While the hotel has a modern look—like it’s "dressed to impress"—it feels a bit dated underneath and the service falls short of the price point. ​The Room: The view is awesome, looking straight out to the sea and the beach. However, the room is very small (smaller than a Travelodge) and featured two single beds pushed together. There is a micro-fridge, but it never actually got cold; it seemed to have been plugged in only upon our arrival. ​Service & Hidden Details: ​The Deposit: We were hit with a €200 deposit at check-in. It was buried in the small print after booking and not clearly stated on the main website. ​The Bar: Very stingy. They refused to let us take wine glasses to the room, even just for water. ​Lack of Info: We weren't given WiFi codes or meal times at check-in. ​Dining (Half-Board): Food was hit and miss. It is a menu-choice style, not a buffet. I had the entrecôte with garlic and tomatoes, which was burnt and bitter. When I mentioned it, the waitress just said "that’s how it’s meant to be." ​Most frustratingly, we were told there was no dinner on Sunday (only lunch) because of a local half-marathon and a bank holiday. None of this was explained to us beforehand, which is poor form for a half-board stay. ​The Spa: They charge €19/hour for the Jacuzzi. We went locally instead and found a much better spa with a pool, jets, sauna, and steam room for €25. ​Tips for Travelers: ​Parking: Don't pay the hotel €10/day. There is free parking around the back that works perfectly (though it may be tighter in peak summer). Sky Bar on roof, €19 for Gin and Tonic and small Wine. ​Shopping: Head to the local Mercadona for cheap supplies. Liter spirits are around €8 and a good 13.5% Chardonnay is about €4. ​Summary: You’re paying for the view here. If you want space, cold drinks, and proactive service, you might want to look at the better-value local alternatives.
