We had a wonderful lunch on the terrace, surrounded by shady palm trees and other plants which provided privacy from the pool area. My hummus plate was very good and surprisingly filling, but hubby's mini burgers were tiny and not great. The tinto de veranos were delicious, made with orange juice for an extra refreshing taste. The whole experience was relaxing and lovely. The only disappointment was that I could not order the arroz con costra and other things from the Els Capellans restaurant menu... Those are only available inside. The maitre d' did make us aware of this ahead of time though, so we knew that before we chose whether to sit inside or out.
The location is great! Close enough to the city center, but easy to reach. Also the palm tree garden is very close (actually the hotel itself can be seen as part of the garden). There is paid parking for 13 Euros/day - which is helpful. The room is big and nice and clean. It has all amenities one can need: Safety box, fridge, AC. The bathroom is ok - there were two problems though: There was a smell in the bathroom - and the rain shower head was not often used - so when opening it - by accident - a lot of (more) bad smell came through. I recommend the service staff to open the shower heads regularly and the owners to check the general smell. I would come back! Also because of the amazing breakfast buffet. And the lovely pool - though it was a bit cold at the beginning of April. But surely a great place to spend vacation days! We didn't try the bar/bistro/restaurant!
You would feel like youre in the Caribbean with the decor amd palm trees. The staff were excellent even though we barely had a word of spanish (sorry about that) . The room was so comfortable and peaceful. The food was excellent. I can go on and on but I wont ruin it. All I can say is book it, you wont regret it. We wanted a peaceful and tranquil holiday and we received every bit of it .
Absolutely amazing! Excellent luxury stay in the very beautiful Hotel Huerto del Cura in the center of Elche . How can we have the chance to stay in such a beautiful natural garden full of palm trees in the city center ? Rooms are big, beautiful and usuñly on the ground floor in the garden. The last day we stayed in the jacuzzi and sauna, just excellent. Amazing breakfast. Absolutely amazing and highly recommended !
