We had high expectations for Volta i Volta, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The restaurant seems to aim for a Michelin-style dining experience, but in our opinion it falls well short of that standard. Our table ordered the pork ribs, turbot and sea bass. The pork ribs were decent, but the fish dishes were underwhelming. My turbot, in particular, was disappointing, both in terms of flavour and presentation. The plating looked unfinished and lacked the level of care you would expect at this price point. The biggest issue was that the dishes simply weren't balanced. There was a lot going on, but the flavours didn't come together as a harmonious whole. Sometimes, less is more. The interior also felt rather uninspiring, and the service lacked enthusiasm and warmth, which didn't help the overall experience. Considering the prices, the value for money was poor. The restaurant seems to be striving for a Michelin-level image, but it is still a long way from delivering that standard. My advice would be to go back to basics: focus on high-quality ingredients, clean and balanced flavours, and well-executed plating. Build a strong foundation first, and only then start experimenting. In the long run, I believe that approach would make for a much better dining experience.

Volta i Volta is a true hidden gem in the charming old town of Jávea. The setting is beautiful and full of character, making it the perfect place for a relaxed and memorable meal. We ordered the galletas y tartar de gambas, black olive tapenade, atún vitellato, rape, cremoso de chocolate, and the milhojas. Every single dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The flavors were creative, balanced, and clearly made with great care and quality ingredients. From the first bite to the last, everything exceeded our expectations. Fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jávea. We will definitely be back!

It was one of the best dining experiences during the vacation in Calpe and area around. I had dinner with bestie here. Nice interior decor and chill music. For food, we ordered shrimp cracker and eels terrine as starters, the eel terrine is really special and very tasty. Main courses are beef and lamb, both very tender, and with good options of veggies aside - beetroots and chickpeas respectively. The wine and chocolate mousse are also pretty good with nice price.
