What a marvelous find! We had lunch for two and let the chef choose the dishes. 10 out of 10! All dishes were stunning, prepared with finesse, great balance of flavors and creative. Must visit! We enjoyed the gilda, bread service, tomato carpaccio, Catalana de atun Rojo (seems to be a bestseller), an eel sausage, small squids in ink sauce, pepperoni with mild gorgonzola sauce and the chocolate cake for dessert. Would recommend every single dish. For dessert, perhaps 2 choices of alcohol free desserts, would've made us get 2 desserts. And if there were any house drinks without alcohol, we d definitely try those also (iced tea, lemonade etc). The chocolate dessert was a dream! Service at the counter was lovely and they explained us the dishes as well as the creative thoughts behind it. We will 100% be back. The value for money is stunning. We paid about 160 for two persons. Dish sizes are also good ans generous. You leave full and very happy.
Open is one of my two favourite restaurants in Alicante and probably the restaurant where I have my most satisfying meals in town. Using the freshest highest quality ingredients, chef Alberto creates an exciting tasty gastronomical experience in each bite which is professionally brought to your table by Daniel or Brenda with a pleasant friendly smile. You will also be in great hands with the desserts of talented young chef Tatiana (Tati). My last visit was my sixth in 2 years and I have never been disappointed with any dish or dessert, whether it is the carpacio, ostra cardo, navaja con pil pil, ensaladilla de salmon, alcachofa y papada iberica (miam), tortilla which if available with truffle do yourself a favor and order it (miam), catalana de atun rojo (miam miam), pescado de lonja and my favorite dessert naranja preparada. Like my other favorite place to eat, the menu is not extensive and does not change very often but so worthwhile. Open is that special place in Alicante I go to with best friends and loved ones to enjoy great food and celebrate. Hats off to Chef Alberto and team!
One of the most delicious meal with even more amazing service and wine selection. What a place to dine in ! From start to finish the evening was unforgettable. Flavours of food was knocking me out each bite and wines was getting better and better. Absolutely not to miss quince , artichokes and iberian pork jowl starter ! Full of amazing textures and flavours. Oxtail, foie gras and green apple was just melting in my mouth with every bite. And as being not that big dessert person, followed by Erika suggestion I took grapefruit and Campari ice cream super fresh and delicate dessert that was so delicious and tasty that my evening was full and filled with great meal. Thank you Laura and Erika for this an amazing evening showing what is real deal ! And the chefs who put these flavour bombs together! I can’t wait to be back again for another meal. You all rock 🤟🏼
