Owner Hans has put together an amazing menu to provide home comforts for many nationalities including great British fish and chips, currywurst sausages from Germany, and Wiener schnitzel from Austria.
Bistro Alegria is in a quiet spot away from the traffic but close to the busy Monday market at Torrecremada and the large Plaza Paris square.
After a two-year sabbatical, Hans has moved Bistro Alegria from La Pedrera to a more central spot in Denia in the lively Paris-Pedrera barrio.
Bistro Alegria is a lot like the owner - a bit quirky but down to earth - and in love with his profession.

There's a great variety of quality food from the kitchen with an Austrian touch including great breakfasts, menus, a special selection of sausages, baguettes, new creations, and the tried and trusted classics.
You can pop in for breakfast - including a cava breakfast - lunch, dinner or a drink with seating in the quirky interior with its interesting décor or outside on the patio alongside the ‘flying taxi’ embedded into the outside wall.
It is a friendly, international bar where friends can meet for a drink, a meal or for somewhere to watch the football –the Euro 2016 games will be on.
There's a great selection of daily three-course menus – menu del dia – starting at just €10.90. On Thursdays, you can enjoy Han’s special BBQ spare ribs with meat so succulent it falls off the bone. The menu also includes house specials such as surf and turf' with entrecote and prawns,or‘Rocky Montgo' pork loin steak with a bacon, onion and cheese gratin served with french fries.
