Description

Walk along the Relleu footbridge, a vertiginous path suspended over the deep ravine formed by the Amadorio River as it passes through this town in the Marina Baixa. Admire the views from the glass-bottomed viewing platform. Walk along the 'floating path' with a total length of 370 meters, after the recent extension in December 2023. At the halfway point, find the glass-bottomed viewing platform, and the new section inaugurated at the end of 2023. The entire structure challenges the void from a height of 50 meters above the ravine. Relleu, in the interior of the Marina Baixa region, is a small town with an agricultural tradition. It has natural and cultural attractions that make it an ideal destination for those looking for a nature, relaxation, and active tourism getaway. Located just over half an hour from the beaches of Villajoyosa, Relleu is located in the southern foothills of the Sierra de Aitana, the highest peak in Alicante. The mountainous landscape is covered with terraces of almond and olive trees that have overlooked the sea from the heights since the Muslim era. The charming old town of Relleu has several attractions such as the Church of Santiago Apóstol, the Hermitage of Sant Albert, and the Castle of Relleu. The latter dominates the population and the views towards the sea.
