Description

Check out Santa Pola, a Mediterranean paradise on Spain's east coast. The tour is offered in Spanish, French, and English in an 8-seater van, with pick-up and snacks included in the price. This charming town in the province of Alicante is known for its stunning beaches, rich history, and dreamy natural surroundings. During the tour, we'll check out the city's top museums. First, you'll get to see the whole Mediterranean coast from the fabulous Ermita del Rosario, where we'll tell you about the town's history and its biggest festivals. Next stop, Barco de Esteban González and the Santa Pola Aquarium. In this small aquarium, we've got the most important fish that live in our Mediterranean waters. You'll have 15 minutes of free time. Then we'll head over to the majestic Castillo Fortaleza, just 10 minutes away, where we'll fill you in on its significance and all its features. Inside the Castle, we'll check out the Sea Museum, where we'll show you how the old sailors and peasants of the area lived. From there, just a 5-minute walk away, you'll find our fresh produce market. We'll take a 20-minute break with a snack included, and you'll also have time to grab some fresh local goodies. Then we'll head to the Salt Museum and Bird Interpretation Center, where we'll explain the importance of this mineral in human life and share lots of interesting details. Plus, you'll get to spot birds with binoculars in the area. The flamingos are guaranteed to be there! Then we'll head into the Salinas de Santa Pola park to check out its awesome salt flats and old pier with its Spanish Civil War casemates. And to top off this amazing tour, there's no better view than the Santa Pola Lighthouse. Tourism and travel magazines worldwide have recognized it as one of the best views in Spain. From there, you'll get to see the island of Tabarca. If you're still up for it, we can check out the Civil War ruins and see the war bunkers and coastal batteries.
