Description
During our tour we visited the most emblematic places of Elche, which has three World Heritage Sites: the largest palm grove in Europe, the Misteri d'Elx and the Puçol Educational Project and Museum.
Elche cannot be imagined without its majestic Palm Grove, the largest palm grove in Europe, with more than 200 thousand palm trees. This impressive ensemble includes different orchards such as the Municipal Park, the Huerto del Cura and others.
The Huerto del Cura, the most beautiful and well-kept of the orchards, is an authentic botanical garden where, in addition to palm trees, medicinal plants, flowers and cacti from all over the world grow. In this idyllic place, peacocks stroll and carp swim in the pond. During our visit, we will tour the city's palm parks and explore this enchanting botanical garden, which was created with dedication by the priest José María Castaño. In honor of its creator, the garden is named **Huerto del Cura**.
