Description

The tour consists of visiting a small village in which the castle is located and the castle itself. Our driver will accompany you around the village. The village itself is an open-air museum. You will walk through narrow medieval streets paved with stone. You will pass through a gate carved into the rock many centuries ago. Visiting (entrance) to the village is free. Also free entry to the medieval church. The castle itself is a fortress (fortification) and living quarters. The rulers of the region lived in this house. The castle has preserved the furnishings of the 17th-18th centuries. Furniture, paintings, and interior items are perfectly preserved and of great value. Entrance to the castle is paid (4-8 euros). After you are met by private transport (car), we will embark on an unforgettable journey to medieval Spain. Along the way, you will enjoy spectacular mountain scenery and authentic Spanish towns. The castle is divided into two areas: the neighbourhood of the Castle, located on top of the rock and surrounded by the walls of the castle, and the neighborhood's Outskirts, which was created later and population extends from the skirt of the mountain. We started the path through the Castle district, where you will find incredible walls with a lot of history. They were built by the muslims to protect everything that was inside. Are still retained some canvas and can be distinguished from the towers that adapt perfectly to the natural environment. Although, without a doubt, one of the maximum exponents that are left of the wall is the gateway to El Castell de Guadalest. The castle is an open-air museum. The castle grounds are full of authentic shops serving local food and alcoholic beverages most of which can be tasted. EXTRAS 1. Visit to Guadalest Lake with its incredible water color. Price is 20 euros. 10 minutes by car and 20-30 minutes by walking along the lake. Attention! The lake has steep banks - have comfortable shoes!! 2. Book a table at a restaurant with amazing mountain views. Price is 30 euros. The service includes table reservation service and driver waiting time. Food and drinks are paid separately on the restaurant bill.
