Britain’s great saxophonist and Jazz singer, Ray Gelato, is coming to ‘Jazz at the Parador’ on Friday 3rd March!
One of the best musicians on the international Swing scene, Gelato shares the stage with that brilliant musician, Enric Peidro. The two saxos team up in an exciting new project, along with an awesome rhythm section which features extraordinary pianist Richard Busiakiewicz, to pay tribute to the giants of Swing Texas saxophonists such as Illinois Jacquet, Amett Cobb and Buddy Tate, whose explosive soloist style set the jazz scene alight, especially in the early 1940s.
Set to be a memorable concert, Jazz lovers can enjoy a Swing duel of the highest level waged between two tenor saxophones whose stylistic affinity place them in a category apart, that of the swingin’ tenor men, whom are regrettably fewer as time goes by.
This project brings together two great performers; it’s a unique opportunity to enjoy the extravagant and entertaining language of Swing, a style never goes out of fashion because it has its roots in the very essence of Jazz.
The audience at ‘Jazz at the Parador’ are in for an unforgettable evening, a show that no good Jazz fan should miss.
March 3 is the day to remember… Javea Parador will vibrate to the sound of high voltage Swing at the hands of these two magnificent saxo tenors: Ray Gelato and Enric Peidro. Don’t forget to fasten your seatbelts!
