Ways to get from the airport to Orihuela Costa
A private transfer booked ahead suits travellers who want a planned pickup at their accommodation, families with children, and anyone arriving with substantial luggage. A taxi from the rank is useful when you prefer to arrange transport after landing, although availability and current fares can vary, so check the airport’s latest guidance.
Public transport can suit independent travellers who are comfortable checking connections and making any required changes. Services and operating details can change, so check the airport or relevant transport provider before travelling. A hire car is a practical choice if you plan to visit different parts of Orihuela Costa or explore the wider Alicante area. Confirm collection arrangements and driving requirements with the hire provider.
Booking a private transfer
After booking, keep the confirmation, accommodation address and flight details ready. The driver will normally meet you in the arrivals area, with the exact meeting point and contact instructions provided in your booking information. Check these details before departure and save them where you can access them without relying on airport Wi-Fi.
Tell the provider about delayed or late flights as soon as possible, and check its policy for monitoring flight changes. Give accurate luggage details, especially if you have sports equipment, mobility equipment or unusually large bags. Request suitable child or baby seats in advance and provide the children’s ages or sizes if asked. These arrangements need to be confirmed before travel rather than requested at pickup.
Orihuela Costa to Alicante Airport
For the Orihuela Costa to Alicante Airport journey, arrange pickup from your hotel, apartment or villa in advance and confirm the collection point clearly. Leave plenty of time for the road journey, airport procedures and possible traffic, particularly during busy travel periods. Check your airline’s advice for when to arrive and work backwards from that guidance when choosing your pickup. If your accommodation is within a complex, ask where a vehicle can legally stop and be ready at the agreed meeting point.
For any option, check current airport and transport information before setting out, as road conditions, services and pickup arrangements can change.
