Rice&Bones - Arroces Gourmet Alicante

We got a flyer on the street for this place which sometimes can be off-putting but we said we’d give it a go as it was a good deal. €18.90 for a menu including starter, main, bread, drink, dessert and tea or coffee. We called in and a lovely Venezuelan waitress approached us immediately with a big smile and sat us down and explained the menu and ordering process. You can order via phone directly to the kitchen or the traditional way with the waitress. You can get individual paellas/arroces too which a lot of places don’t do. The food was lovely! Baked artichokes with goats cheese were my fav. Red prawn croquettes also delicious and the arroz meloso. We will definitely call back next time we’re in Alicante!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had dinner at Rice & Bones during my stay in Alicante and it was one of the best meals I had in the city. I ordered the creamy rice with clams and braised prawns, a traditional Alicante-style rice dish, and it was absolutely delicious. The rice was rich, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and packed with seafood taste. The prawns were tender and the portion was generous. To drink, I tried a local craft beer, which paired perfectly with the meal and was a great way to discover a local product. The atmosphere was modern, relaxed, and welcoming, with friendly staff and excellent service. As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable dining there. If you’re looking for authentic Alicante rice dishes with quality ingredients and a pleasant atmosphere, Rice & Bones is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended! 🍤🍚🍺
This was my second time eating paella. After this one I start to believe that maybe this is just not my favorite food. It's hard to judge the restaurant itself because maybe the food is objectively good, but I just didn't like it. I was in a bigger group and some said that paella was good, but we still didn't eat everything and took some of it back home. The dessert was really nice, though. I will probably not visit again but if anyone already knows that they like paella, then this place has a nice variety to choose from. Definitely the staff is helpful and the ordering via web app is easy, so it's a plus.
A true gem in Alicante! Service is great, Juan was amazing and suggested a Menu Ricer, which is a great way to have a full course meal. You get an appetizer, main rice (paella/risotto) dish, bread (which was beyond delicious), dessert and a drink of choice (beer or wine or any soft drink), and all of that for a price of 1 regular meal in any other restaurant. But above all, the food was EXTRAORDINARY TASTY! We enjoyed every bite of it. Really worth visiting if you are in Alicante. We cannot wait to come again! 😀
Small trendy restaurant specialising in paella and rice dishes and traditional style. We visited twice and on both occasions the food and service was fantastic. Juan served us and was helpful and patient both times. The paella are dry, creamy and smooth variations, with the dry being crunchy also and the smooth being soft and buttery. The desserts were also delicious, the chocolate ice cream was very luxurious! You can order individual items or a three course set menu with drinks by scanning a qr code which can translate to English and other languages, and was the easiest and simplest way i have ordered so far. Highly recommended.
