A good option for a more English-style dining experience if that is what you are looking for. Lovely decor and welcoming staff. Price point is a little higher than similar in nearby areas and cocktails at 8€ a bit higher too. That said the menu of the night offered a good selection. The presentation was good and portion sizes suitable for the women in our group with the men needing a bit more to be fully satisfied. Desserts were again tasty and well presented. We were a bit negatively impacted towards the end of our meal by other dinners laughing & talking overly loudly so at times couldn’t hear each other speaking.
Tried The Fancy Fox Bistro for the first time and was very impressed with the food. The restaurant only opened around April 2026 and appears to be English owned. They describe the kitchen as Mediterranean-inspired, and the menu definitely delivers on flavour. Even though the restaurant was completely full, they still managed to find a table for me as a solo guest, which was appreciated. The interior itself is fairly simple and more like a café/bar setup than a “fancy” bistro, with small tables, a bar area and the kitchen at the back — although the many fox pictures on the walls add some personality. The staff were genuinely lovely throughout the evening and gave great recommendations that made the experience even better. I chose the Menu del Día with 3 courses. For starter I had the albondigas. The meatballs themselves were slightly dry and compact in texture, but the sauce was honestly one of the most flavourful and slightly spicy sauces I have tasted in a long time. Absolutely delicious and clearly homemade. For the main course I had Iberico pork with vegetables and a beautiful rich gravy-style sauce. Again, huge flavour in every bite — no need for extra salt or pepper here. The pork was incredibly tender. My only complaint would be that I could easily have eaten one more slice of meat 😁 But it was nice to get plenty of vegetables. Dessert was a lemon cheesecake, also clearly homemade and very tasty. Food-wise this place deserves top marks. Everything tasted fresh, homemade and full of flavour. The only downside for me was the atmosphere on this particular evening. There was a large birthday group with children, so the noise level became extremely high, and people constantly went in and out of the door without closing it behind them, meaning guests had to get up and close it themselves. From what I could tell, most guests were English. Had I not been dining alone, it would honestly have been difficult to hold a conversation because of the noise. Service was a little slow between courses, but the restaurant was completely packed, so that is understandable. Overall, I will definitely return to try more of the food because the kitchen is clearly doing something very right.
1st visit and loved it! Feb service, lovely food. Great addition to Benijofar. We will be back
We really enjoyed last night. Wine selection was reasonably priced and excellent quality. Ordered from the a la carte menu. Shared mussels to start, it was a generous portion. We had the duck and ribeye steak, both cooked properly with nice sides. Overall a nice addition to Benijofar, fair prices for excellent quality food and the hosts made us feel welcome. We'll be back.
Had an absolutely amazing Menu Del Dia this evening. Everything first class. Faultless. Benijófar has been waiting for a Restaurant like this for a long time. Everything fresh and cooked to order. Definitely will be coming again. Lovely vibe and interior plus attentive polite staff. 5 star ⭐
