Our last night in Spain and what a treat. We were given what I consider their best table overlooking the sea. Fantastic food - lobster bisque, salmon, a great steak, creme brulee a delight. Very friendly service and lots of happy customers. This is a quality restaurant highly recommended.
What a fabulous restaurant this is! We were a group of 22 having lunch. It was impressive that both starters and the main course were served quickly for such a large group - no one was left waiting - and the food was hot. My tuna starter and salmon were delicious. I loved having all the appropriate cutlery and chopsticks too. The crème brûlée with ginger was a sublime desert. It was my first time here and won’t be my last. I would thoroughly recommend the Al Mar.
Had a lovely dinner here on the terrace. The view of the sea is great and the service super friendly. We went for the bisque, california al mar sushi and the tarbot and loved every bite. Especially the sushi was excellent. We’d happily come back!
From the moment you step into Al Mar you are greeted by Luke’s team and the open kitchen so you can see just how fresh everything is, even the lobster tank. Modern and sophisticated dining area with just the right amount of funky details. Then the food arrives. Oh. My. God. I’ve been searching for a restaurant menu like this for years in the Javea/Denia/Moraira area. This does not disappoint in any way. It’s not cheap. It’s not expensive either. It’s bang on for the quality, freshness, presentation and just sheer deliciousness! Don’t just drop in for a bite; take your time and enjoy simply beautifully prepared and present food. Thank you for a simply wonderful lunch. We will most definitely be back!
Strangely enough, there are very few seafood restaurants in this part of the Costa Blanca. This is one of the few, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The best lobster I have ever eaten: not very big, but sooo delicious — incredibly juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served with a delicate garlic butter sauce. I will definitely come back here. I want more! The desserts were ok , although the real highlight of the meal was definitely the seafood. The service was sometimes a little bit clumsy but always very friendly, and although the interior is not particularly atmospheric, it didn’t take away from the experience. Unfortunately, because of the weather we couldn’t sit outside on the terrace. It looked really lovely there with a beautiful view. Highly recommended
