Friendly, welcoming staff and an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The fillet steak was one of the best I have ever had - perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of flavour. Easily one of the standout steaks I’ve eaten anywhere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Alicante and looking for a quality steakhouse.
This place feels like a bit of a hidden gem. We had an early dinner around 7 pm since we were dining with a small child, and despite it being a Saturday, it wasn’t very busy. The location by the water is lovely, with large glass windows overlooking the harbor. The highlight here is the food—the steak was cooked to perfection and well seasoned, and the dessert was sweet and enjoyable. The wine paired very well with the meal. What brings it slightly down is the service. While the staff was friendly, the level of professionalism could be better. We ordered a slightly more expensive glass of wine, which was generously poured, but not served at the table. We were also not offered water. This isn’t a fine-dining restaurant, but a few small touches would have elevated the experience from 4 to 5 stars.
I really wanted to give this restaurant a chance because I had been excited to dine here. Based on reviews and recommendations, it was known for having better steaks, so we chose this place for a special Christmas dinner, expecting good food, good vibes, and a nice overall experience. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be disappointing. We politely asked if our starter could be served first before ordering the main course, which was a steak. The staff declined, saying the kitchen was very busy. We understood and didn’t insist. However, what followed made the situation frustrating. Our steaks took 40 minutes or more to be served. For a steak ordered medium, this waiting time felt excessive. At that point, we spent more time waiting than actually enjoying the meal. Because of the long wait, the excitement and atmosphere of the dinner were lost. It didn’t feel like a relaxed Christmas celebration anymore. As for the steak itself, it honestly did not feel worth the 40–50€ price range. The quality and taste were average and comparable to steaks you can get in a regular restaurant, nothing particularly memorable or exceptional. The restaurant space is wide and comfortable, which is a positive point, but sadly, that was the only thing that stood out for us. Overall, we didn’t enjoy our visit as much as we hoped. With the long waiting time and the underwhelming food for the price, the experience did not meet expectations.
I’ve always loved Alicante for the food, but coming to Böff I was met with great hospitality, the atmosphere was unique with both the aroma in the air and the respect you’re given when entering. The food was excellent, the ribeye being cooked to perfection, the cocktail being smooth. 100% recommend Böff, its something that you’ll always crave again.
