Very nice place for lunch. The lunch menu has different dishes to choose from, with dessert or fruits. You can also choose coffee, beer or local wine. Very nice atmosphere, ambience, kindly personal. Food is very tasty and the location is great.
We chose this place by reviews and photos. I was surprised expecting to eat at least okay food. I just arrived from an airport and was hungry but I didn’t even finished my portion because the meat tasted like it was frozen for at least half a year. The same with salmon. The portion was 100-200 grams tops and the main element of a dish - salmon tasted not well, me and my girlfriend together didn’t manage to finish the dish. The only tasty dish was burata mixed with pumpkin purée. That’s true. But all other dishes that costed us €116 were terrible and not worthy finishing even after long flight without normal food.
A special evening out for a friend in September, who had arrived in Valencia that very day. A relaxed dinner on the terrace, with the friendly assistance of Emilio, our waiter. We ordered patatas bravas and three very generous sandwiches: chicken, squid, and confit pork. The sandwiches were original and well-crafted. Our only disappointment was the €18 jar of sangria, a touristy type of sangria that, again, has largely lost its authentic character in Spain over time. We know that rental costs in Gandia's old town are high, but still! It does bring the overall quality of the food down a bit. Something to address. Some customers have the experience and expertise in wine; it's unreasonable to assume they can drink lemonade with a splash of poor-quality wine. Don't ruin your reputation!
