Great gig. Staff on tha ball even though it was extremely busy
I have wanted to come here for a few years so for my birthday I chose a carvery here. You have to find parking on the streets which wasn't too bad.It doesn't look inviting from outside, cigarette ends and litter on the steps not a good start. In the entrance way look cluttered with the books and stuff yes I know it's for charity.Went inside the bar room I don't really know what to say about it really.Big dark empty like it's waiting to be ripped out and done up.Dining room no atmosphere what so ever my partner described it as a works canteen that just about sums it up.Staff no identity as staff apart from a woman at the carvery station with chefs whites on ~¿ The others obvious by being behind the bar older ladies.Wendy in dining room run wagged needs help I would say.Food well what do I say, Beef on My plate was all fat went in a tissue Pork not bad Yorkshire pudding frozen won't be told otherwise no excuse Stuffing too solid Roast potatoes burnt taste dark colour and all soft. Peas as peas. My partner said the other veg on offer too soft no taste. I enjoyed the mash 2 scoops and the gravey. Was going to get a pudding but decided against it. We had 2 carvery I pint 0% 1 coke The woman behind the bar found our dinners but didn't know we had drinks till we told her. It was 25 and some coppers. I thought that expensive for quality and over all experience. KEYBOARD WARRIORS DONT BOTHER THIS IS MY OPINION
Friendly warm welcome & helpful service. Only had a coffee which was nice, the Club has plenty of room with great views across Quesada or watch the bowling on the attached bowling green.
Went to see the Troupers Band, great venue for entertainment. Bar staff really helpful and friendly. Food options were limited. Great night was had by all.
