We recently went to Tula for dinner, and loved it. The restaurant is very small and cosy, the service was excellent. We opted not to do the tasting menu, but ordered a number of dishes. The oyster was complex and unique, would highly recommend, the Shisho taco was the hero and incredibly tasty, I would have happily eaten 10! The lamb was soft and tender and complex and we finished off with the chocolate sweet potato cake. Highly recommend, a beautiful unpretentious restaurant serving excellent food.
Beautiful and amazing food and great service. Thank you so much for such a wonderful culinary experience!
Went for a lunch and was quite surprised by the look of the place and its atmosphere. It’s very small. Only 6 tables hence lacking some vibe you would expect at Michelin * restaurant. Menu is small but quite complex. Even when indicated that one guest wasn’t eating any meat there was not much of vegetarian dishes. Nothing extra prepared for the vegetarian which was quite disappointing. Vegans aren’t welcome. The dishes we had were creative but I felt it was all very heavy. Seamed every plate had creamy, herby oils or mayonnaise base sauce. It all felt very rich and was lacking some freshness and relief. Even the crab dish which was tasty did not deliver on the promise of a vinegar flavour sauce. My companion had the pork small bite dish and it was very difficult to enjoy. Very fatty meat covered in a creamy heavy sauce. Food is rich but quite tasty, wine list is very interesting and not too expensive so anyone can find a good bottle. Overall slightly disappointing experience as had high expectations of the menu that did not deliver for us.
