The food was the worst ever experienced in Spain. The salad was brown & out of date, clearly visible but sent out regardless. The fat in the food formed pools on the plates. We all left our meals after an initial taste. The waitress was already having a bad day it seemed, unpleasant from the beginning. We made an attempt to highlight why we had all hardly touched the food but she clearly wasn’t interested & turned away to start shouting at someone else walking through the dining area. Nothing good to say about this place other than its fortunate location, it can be the only thing that attracts people. Would only visit again for an ice cream or drink I’d pushed, avoid the food.
Restaurante La Mirada is truly a special place. With its stunning beach and sea views, it’s the perfect spot to start your day. We visited several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and every visit was a great experience. Breakfast, in particular, was excellent. A special mention to the staff on Sunday morning – she was fantastic, attentive, and looked after us so well, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is simply magical, especially with the view of the sea right in front of you. A place you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended! ⭐️
Restaurante La Mirada: A Delicious Test of Patience This is a genuinely solid dinner spot that doesn't exaggerate anything—especially not the efficiency of the service. We had the steak entrecot and the baked turbot, and the quality of the fish and meat selection is genuinely excellent. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Essential Survival Guide (Read Before Seating): The Pace: The service speed operates strictly on local time, which we'll call GMT (Genuine Mediterranean Time). You are not just dining; you are participating in a multi-hour cultural experience. Do not arrive merely hungry; arrive with a full tank of emotional stability and, ideally, a solid conversation topic. Starters are Mandatory: To survive the GMT schedule until your main dish (dosh) arrives, it is highly recommended to order both salads and entrées. This isn't just about hunger; it’s about strategic waiting. The Salad Vibe Check: Your salad will arrive with a minimalist coating of dressing, presumably to help you appreciate the natural flavor of the lettuce. Just ask the friendly waiters (who are lovely, by the way) for extra oil and vinegar. They will deliver it quickly, but remember: asking for any extra ingredient is still part of the GMT experience. Ambiance: The restaurant offers a classic, slightly weary Spanish aesthetic that reminds you the money is clearly being spent on the exquisite fresh fish, not the latest renovation trends. If you need a moment, the bathrooms also maintain this charmingly dated vibe. In short, the food here is delicious and undeniably worth the wait, but only if your internal clock has been set to "Holiday Mode" since 1998. Highly recommended if you value flavor over fast turnaround.
