One of the key fiestas is Moors and Christians in Javea. Some of the highlights of the Javea fiesta are:

Saturday 13th July
21:00 Parade through the streets  plus the switching on of the fiesta lights
22:00 Official inauguration of the fiesta in Paseo Jaime I.
 
Sunday 14th July
10:00 am: Multi-adventure playground on Avenida Jaime I.
20:30 Concert in Calle Seville by the Xabia Artistic Centre for Music.
 
Tuesday 16 July
20:00 Parade through the old town along calles Príncipe de Asturias, Placeta del Convent, Virgen de la Merced, El Foguere,  finishing in calle San Jaime, where the flower offering will take place.
 
Wednesday 17th July
20:45: Offering flowers to San Jaime will start at the Arcade Pío X and include calles Cristo del Mar, Andrés Lambert, Avenida Jaime I, Presidente Adolfo Suárez Square and Caleta ending in the Parish Church. 
23:00 : Brotherhood dinner in Calle Sevilla. Followed by a disco until 03:00 hours.
 
Thursday 18th July
21:00: Blessing of the castle and departure of the Christian troops in Paseo Jaime I, when they then take up position at Playa La Grava .
21:30 Landing of the Moors on Playa La Grava Beach with musket firing and fireworks, followed by the negotiations for the surrender of the castle by the Christians along Paseo Jaime I.
00:00 Batukada (drum parade) along calles Aduanas and Kabilas.
 
Friday 19th July
11:00 Children’s Parade along calles Pío X and Cristo del Ma
17:00:  Pilota of Valenciana in Calle. Virgen de Loreto.
21:00 Battle on Playa de la Grava between the Moors and the Christians.
21:30 Reconquest of the castle (Paseo Jaime I) by the Christians, includes battles and musket fire
23:30: Motivation Sound Experience with Christian Blond, in the Paseo de la Grava until 03:30 hours.
 
Saturday 20st July
19:30 Entrance Parade of the Music Bands.
20:30 Gala Parade of the Moors and Christians along calles Cristo del Mar, Lepanto and Avenida Jaime I
00:30 Correfoc drama with fireworks  along calles Antonio Llido, Loreto Mare de Deu and Paseo Jaime I.
 
Sunday 21st July
10:00: Aquajocs fun for children, in the  grounds of the Sports Pavilion.
10:30: Distribution of ice cream and chocolate in the  grounds of the Palau Municipal d’Esports.
12:00: Celebration of the Solemn Mass in honor of St. James.
19:00 Entrance Parade of the Music Bands along Paseo Jaime I
20:00 Gala Parade of the Moors and Christians
