Orihuela's historic town centre provides a stunning backdrop for the annual medieval market.
The town turns back time to the Middle Ages when jesters, jousters and jolly japes were the order of the day. This is one of the biggest and best medieval markets in Spain and you will need at least three hours to wander around the hundreds of stalls selling wares such as crafts, gifts, clothing, food and drink.
The market is spread out over three kilometres. As well as stalls there are crafts people, medieval tournaments, puppet shows and dance shows.
