Fallas in Denia, Benidorm & Calpe

Fallas in Valencia is where you'll see the most statues and the loudest mascletas but if you don't like huge crowds, Denia is the place to go for the fallas fiesta.
Artists spend all year making these giant colourful statues, which are put up in the streets and then burnt. Fallas in Denia is great fun and very noisy.

Main events in Denia fallas include:
Saturday March 16, 5.30pm there's a children's party with cakes and chocolate in the Plaza del Consell; 18.30 visit to the various fallas
Sunday March 17, prizes will be awarded for the best fallas; 2pm mascletas in the various districts; 
Monday March 18, mascletas in the various districts at 2pm; mascleta in Plaza Jaume I at 9.30pm;  
Tuesday March 19, offering of flowers to the Mare de Déu dels Desemparats in Calle Marqués de Campo, Diana, Magallanes, and Plaza del Convento from 11.30am, mascletas in the various districts at 2.30pm.
The cremà or burning of the fallas in Denia will begin at 8pm with the falla de la Junta Local Fallera. Plaza del Consell. Then the others will be burnt in turn depending on which prize they were awarded.The final one will be around 1.30am.

In Calpe fallas, there is the offering of the flowers at 8.30pm on Monday March 18 and the crema from 11pm.

Benidorm fallas consists of three statues at  Es Tolls, Benidorm Centro and the Rincon de Loix. The Benidorm fallas are burt from around midnight on the 19th.
