Alicante Carnival is from Feb 20th till March 1st 2020
 
Enjoy a week of carnival events in Alicante with music, parades and exhibitions enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors.

The most important activities in the Alicante carnival 2020 to enjoy are:

February 20: Dijous de Gras and Correfoc
At 9:30 p.m. traffic is closed in the city to give way to the celebration of Dijous de Gras, the Correfoc, the Ball de Diables and the Arrival of the Momo .
It starts from Plaza 25 de Mayo and will continue through Calderón de la Barca, Alfonso X El Sabio, Rambla Méndez Núñez, General Primo de Rivera, Virgen de Belén, Abad Nájera and will end at Plaza del Carmen.
 From 8:00 p.m. it will be prohibited to park in these squares and streets.

February 21: Pregón Friday
Announcement is announced that officially begins the Carnival of Alicante 2020 , which takes place in Plaza del Carmen at 9:30 p.m. 

February 22: Saturday Ramblero
Family shows, workshops, storytelling and other activities throughout the day. From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. there will be a parade with Batucada by Lieutenant Daoiz, Álvarez and Plaza del Carmen.
At 22:00 the music will begin to play on the Rambla de Méndez Núñez for the thousands of people who have dressed up in disguise 

February 23: Carnival Sunday
There will be activities scheduled for children and adults in the Esplanade during the morning and afternoon of Sunday.

February 25: Carnival Tuesday
The Trial and Procession of the Pelele is celebrated , which starts from the Plaza de San Cristóbal and passes through Labradores Street, Muñoz Mayor, San Nicolás, San Pascual, Abad Nájera and ends in the Plaza del Carmen.

February 26: Burial of the Sardine
With the celebration of the Burial of the Sardine and its funeral procession marks the end of the holidays until next year. Starting at 9:00 p.m., the parade starts from  Panteón de Quijano , Plaza de España, Calderón de la Barca Streets, Avda. Alfonso el Sabio, Tomás López Torregrosa, Duke of Zaragoza, Ruperto Chapí Square, Teatro streets, Bazán, Gerona , Rambla Méndez Núñez, Miguel Soler, San Nicolás, Abad Nájera to Plaza del Carmen, where the sardine will be burned by the Dimonis.

March 1: Piñata Sunday
Are held games and contests children for children, where no shortage of piñatas .
